Los Angeles, California

Los Angeles is the second most populous city in the United States after New York City. It is the city of stars, and I have encountered many stars at the gym, bookstores, and churches. The vibe can be relaxed and calm, a surfer hang loose vibe. Hearing the waves, walking the board walks, and sitting outside in the still of the night (nice weather) reminds me peace is always available to me, I just need to tune into the frequency. I love L.A. and the people that live there.

Areas:

Hollywood

LA is big so if you want to experience Hollywood, I suggest staying in Hollywood. A larger-than-life symbol of the entertainment business, Hollywood beckons tourists with landmarks like TCL Chinese Theatre and star-studded Walk of Fame. Highlights include Paramount Pictures, historic music venues like the Hollywood Bowl, and Dolby Theatre (home of the Oscars).

Santa Monica

Known for its upscale dining, shopping, and nightlife, Santa Monica is Los Angeles’ northernmost beach city. It’s the home base for some of the world’s top music, film, and gaming companies, including: Lionsgate, Hulu, and Universal Music. If you want to soak in the rays, Santa Monica State Beach was the backdrop for the iconic “Baywatch.” At its center are  the century-old Santa Monica Pier, one of the must-see Los Angeles attractions, and Pacific Park, which boasts games, roller coasters, and a solar-powered ferris wheel.

Restaurants:

Teddy's Red Tacos

It's an authentic Mexican birria. It quickly became popular by word of mouth. I too heard about it from my loved one. The tacos are meaty, flavorful, and filling!

Dave's Hot Chicken

Dave's Hot Chicken is prepared to be the juiciest and most tender chicken imaginable, each piece is topped with Dave’s signature mix of spices ranging from No Spice to “The Reaper.”

Alt: Mr. Fries, Bachiyaki

Desserts:

Sprinkles

The cupcakes are made with the finest ingredients, creating a spark that makes your taste buds dance. You’ll want to indulge in each and every decadent flavor. These cupcakes are so good, I commonly get a assorted box to share with loved ones.

Handel's Ice Cream

With over 100 irresistible ice cream flavors, there’s something for everyone. I usually get the four scoop sampler, but they have cones, shakes, pops, sundaes, and more!
