Cape Town, South Africa

Cape Town is a modern, cosmopolitan city surrounded by nature. Centered around Table Mountain, one of the New 7 Wonders of the world, the Mother City is known for its beautiful beaches, stunning biodiversity, and award-winning food and wine.

Areas:
The City Bowl
The City Bowl itself is a good choice for those who like to be part of the action. You’ll be close to pumping clubs and bars, and there are fantastic restaurants on every corner.

V&A Waterfront
The Waterfront, while not technically a neighborhood, is a hub of activity where you’ll find upmarket hotels, restaurants, and bars all conveniently in the same place.

Stays:
Airbnb
I have found better deals on Airbnb versus some hotels.

Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront
Stunning sea and mountain views, along with sightings of dolphins. Offers spacious, clean rooms, helpful shuttle service, and an infinity pool.

Restaurants:
PIER
Pier brings a long-overdue dose of fine dining to the popular V&A Waterfront. Set in a historic building overlooking the working harbor, Head Chef John Norris-Rogers dishes up a memorable multi-course journey of flavors.

FYN
With a clutch of awards for both its innovative cuisine and commitment to sustainability, FYN offers a thoroughly contemporary fine dining experience in a beautifully eye-catching loft-style space boasting city and mountain views.

Activities:
Table Mountain National Park
Table Mountain is a must-visit for its breathtaking beauty, drawing tourists worldwide.

V&A Waterfront
The V&A Waterfront is one of South Africa’s most beloved destinations, welcoming over 24 million guests annually. The oldest working harbor in the country and offers a wealth of sightseeing, shopping and entertainment opportunities.

Gyms:
Virgin Active Gym Silo District
Lots of equipment, even very specialized machines, high tech, great atmosphere, not crowded at all. Great spa, jacuzzi and cold plunge and a pool as well.

Planet Fitness Signature - De Waterkant
Five stars for the location and views. It has everything you need.

Desserts:
Moro Gelato Long Street
Fancy little establishment with friendly staff and really good Gelato.

Bubble Waffle
The ladies who work there are super friendly, kind, caring and thoughtful. They extremely welcoming. The pricelist is so affordable and the ice cream tastes delicious.

Drinks:
Barcadia
You get to enjoy playing a variety of arcade games. They even have a Nintendo, also PS5 available at the bar for a fee per hour, but completely worth it. Drinks are extremely well priced and they cater for non-alcoholic preference as well.

Skybar
The food  is excellent. The view at the Skybar  is beautiful as you relax at the bar or just having  a swim.
