Self-Growth and Loneliness 🌱

There are many positives to self growth, and there are some challenges to self growth. Challenges can include changing beliefs and losing loved ones, which can leave us feeling lonely.
-
Facing your beliefs can be scary, so it takes courage. When we take a honest view of self, we will see spaces we can improve, and resist change to feel safe and comfortable. Many of us know what we need to do, but do we have enough courage to do it? We can be chained to our past or current identities and upgrading or reinventing identities can be a grieving process. The death of the old you and the birth of the new you. We too can rise again with all power (power over self vs others). - excuse me sometimes I start preaching. :)
-
The grieving process doesn't just stop at the death of old identities, your new identities may position you on an energy level where you can no longer sustain or remain in relationships with your loved ones. You grew, but the people you love were resistant to growth. The people you love, don't know you anymore, and the behaviors you used to do, you may not do anymore. James Clear reported one percent improvement every day adds up to make you 37 times better after a year. A big upgrade, possibly leaving a huge disconnection between you and your loved ones.
-
Now you have upgraded and grown. You have new beliefs, behaviors, and experiences, and your loved ones cannot see you clearly. Some loved ones may feel hurt at the better you. You may even question, should you have stayed in your old patterns for their attention and acceptance. The loneliness may increase, and you find yourself in solitude. What can you do now? You cope positively!
-
Use that solitude along your journey of self-actualization and enlightenment. Marianne Williamson stated as you let your light shine, you unconsciously give other people permission to shine their light. Your light will become brighter and brighter along the journey, maybe even so bright that your loved ones, the ones you thought you lost, will activate their courage to change, improve, and grow.
